Yale Winestock BA(Hon), Kin
A founder of Flex and Go, Yale graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. His thorough knowledge base includes anatomy, biomechanics, physiology of exercise and aging, exercise appraisal, sports management, and nutrition. Yale's background includes experience with the London Knights OHL hockey team, where he was involved with administration.

Ari Rosenzweig BA(Hon), Kin
One of the founders of Flex and Go, Ari graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University in Toronto. Ari also received a certificate in Sports Therapy. While at York, Ari was assistant-therapist of the women's field hockey team, and head therapist of the men's volleyball team. Ari has collected more than 600 clinical hours in various therapy clinics throughout the Greater Toronto Area. His background includes work at the Sports Medicine Specialists, Tait Clinic, the North York and Uplands ski centers where he was involved in immediate first aid. He also finds opportunities to contribute to the community at large, such as providing water skiing training classes at summer camps.

Zena Simces
Zena Simces is involved in marketing and human resources for Flex and Go. She has a background of more than 25 years in management, marketing and communications. She has held senior management positions in government and in the voluntary sector in the health, social services and justice fields. She has considerable experience supervising employees, dealing with human resource issues and customer/client relations. She has also acted as a consultant to government, business and the voluntary sectors in strategic planning, communications and program evaluation. She has conducted numerous program evaluations and customer/client satisfaction surveys.
Jason Shane
Jason Shane is an experienced full-time personal trainer certified as a Supervisor of Fitness Leaders in Weight Training and Advanced Fitness Leader with the BC Recreation and Parks Association. He is also a member of the American College of Sports Medicine. He has led Instructor Competency Workshops with BCRPA, and directs personal training at two major fitness clubs. He has experience in managing weight loss, fat loss, weight gain, increasing muscle tone, pre and post-natal workouts, sports conditioning and preparing actors and models for specific roles.
Shawn Halperin
Shawn Halperin graduated from UBC with a 4-year Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree, the top student in his graduating class. He's certified with the BCRPA with several certificates including Personal Training, and has Emergency First Aid and CPR C licenses. He has a varied and extensive sport and fitness background spanning 21 years. He has participated in a wide range of individual and team sports such as swimming, baseball, football, rugby, track, tennis, skiing, canoeing, and even dragonboating. Shawn was selected to the Canadian Men's National Dragonboat Team, which placed sixth in the 1999 World Championships in Nottingham, England. In 2001, Shawn began focusing on a new challenge - Triathlon.
In addition to Shawn's involvement in sports as an active participant, he has accumulated considerable instructional experience in the fitness industry. In the past few years he has created fitness programs for people of all ages (12-81 years of age) both inside and outside the gym setting. He has also led a 13-week running clinic geared towards helping novice and intermediate runners. Shawn has also been involved in helping False Creek paddlers improve their overall fitness level through dry land training programs and through in-boat coaching.
Shawn specializes in toning and fat loss, increasing strength and muscle development, cardio-respiratory improvement, rehabilitation of soft tissue and orthopedic injuries, sport-specific training, fitness assessment, motivational techniques and fitness knowledge.
